1. What are your business hours?

Regular shop hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The shop is closed Wednesdays and most major holidays. Please call ahead during snow storms or other extreme weather events.

2. Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are required for all fittings and drop-offs. No appointment is required to pick-up your order unless you would like to try on your completed alterations.

For special occasion gowns including formals, please schedule your fitting a minimum of four weeks prior to the date you need to wear the garment.

3. What types of clothing do you alter?

I regularly alter both new and vintage ready-to-wear items, as well as restyling of outdated fashions. I also work on bridesmaid and Mother-of gowns as well as some prom/school formals. I'm sorry, but I do not offer alterations on wedding gowns or heavily beaded/sequined areas of other formals.

I can unfortunately no longer offer alterations on silk items. My allergy has advanced to the point where it is dangerous to my health to have any contact with silk.

I also reserve the right to refuse any items which:

  • are soiled
  • have been stored in mothballs
  • are overly perfumed
  • have subject matter promoting violence
  • contain disturbing imagery
  • could be considered insensitive or derogatory toward any identity or culture

4. When will my items be ready?

Pick-up dates are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Wait times vary as demand fluctuates. If you have questions, please contact me for details.

5. What forms of payment do you accept?

Payment by Cash, Personal Check, or Credit Card is accepted upon the completion of your order.

6. What should I bring to my fitting?

It's always helpful if you can bring the shoes and undergarments you intend to wear with the item you are having fitted. This is especially important for formal wear. I believe the correct undergarments can make or break an outfit. In particular, a properly fitted bra is essential.
